Easy Celebration Cakes

I could have called this class “Cake Decorating for Dummies” but I know you are not a dummy. Neither am I, but I don’t have the time (or inclination) to spend hour after back-breaking hour shaping sugar paste into cute farmyard animals for a kiddy birthday cake or bouquets of life-likes roses for a seven-tiered wedding cake! Let’s leave that to the “professionals”!

The class I have designed is more suited to the (slightly impatient) hobby cake decorator who wants to turn out modern, stylish cakes without back-breaking effort using fondant icing. With Tracey Chooi’s patient and expert guidance, discover how simple and effective it is to work with fondant. We won’t be making cakes that are as full of fascinating detail as the ones found on her flickr pagewww.flickr.com/photos/specialcakes, but I promise you, they will be as delightful.

All materials required for the class will be supplied and class, as usual, will end with a lovely light lunch.
